insanity

Yesterday on my way home from work I decided to stop by Kmart to look at their baby clothes. Why? Because I was looking to purchase clothes for babies? No. Because I wanted to buy baby clothes for my 8 year old female pug, Holly. I have searched and searched the internet and pet stores for clothes for my dogs, especially Holly and especially little shorts for her to wear. For whatever reason, we think she might be leaking a little fluid and shorts would be the best option.

So, I found myself at Kmart in the baby clothes section. After all, pugs are baby sized. Well, maybe toddler sized. I figured it was worth a shot before I start making her clothes. So there I was. Wondering around the baby section looking for little shorts for my pug to wear so she doesnt leak on the carpet. ( and by the way, we arent talking a big leak, just some anal fluid that wont stay in because of her puppy mill days, get over it, its not that gross, its life) So, do I find little shorts for her? No. Did I find an adorable jean skirt with matching red and white plaid ruffled shirt for her? Yes. Did I also find a black dress that says "The little black dress" on it for her? Yes. Did I also find 3 tank tops and 3 pairs of toddle underwear. Oh yes. did I buy all this. Yes. In my defense, the underwear works ok. I cut a little whole for her tail. but the leg wholes arent positioned right and it doesnt look comfortable. The jean skirt outfit can be used for pretty pictures or the next PugFest. I should feel guilty for this but I dont. Holly needs clothes. And, she's my pookie bear. I dont want to look back later in life after she is gone and say " Gosh, I could have bought her more or made her life better". She's just so darn cute!
