Something different
Well, looking back on the past several log entries, I am not saying anything about my day or anything exciting or anything creative. I am rambling about why there is life. I can try and do better.
Today on my lunch break I went to TJ Maxx. Best store ever. Been going there since I was little. It was my mom's favorite store. Cant blame her. It is amazing. It has a little bit of everything and all at great prices.
I was going to go to Bed Bath and Beyond to look for new bathroom decor for the sad little master bath. But I couldnt . I knew I would spend much more there than at TJ maxx. The shower curtain would have been $29 probably! Who can afford that! I paid $8 at TJ Maxx. And I got a new bathroom rug, towels, a small picture, metal shower curtain rings that spell out Relaxation ( I couldnt resist- you have to see how pathetic this bathroom is and then you would understand why I have to buy a lot of decor)
I could have easily spent another hour in TJ Maxx. But sadly, being a professional shopper is not my job. I dont think I quite have everything for the bathroom. Perhaps a new wastebasket ( the purple plastic one needs to be let go) and a curtain or new blinds and another piece of art. I have considered tenciling a design randomly on the walls. The are just plain now and I dont have the ummph to paint the entire bathroom. Although that sounds horrible pathetic considering its size. It is one of those can barely shut the door without falling in the toliet rooms. We've been avoiding it and using the hall bath, which is nicely done with new tile.
Anyway, I am excited about decorating the bathroom tonight.
I need to get a plan for the office. Right now it has a lot of boxes and junk in it. I want it to be cozy. Which really means a dark wall color but that isnt going to happen this weekend. I will feel acommplished if I get everything in the room put away and decently organized. I hate having a 3 bedroom house and not really utilizing the other spare rooms or not even showing them the respect of decorating and appreciating them. That may sound stupid but we paid for those rooms so we should do something with them. It takes time, I know. That is why I am settling for decorated the little bathroom and putting away the boxes and junk in the office. Baby steps. It really takes time to decorate a whole house with your style. Well, and money of course!
